Food for Thought

…I also enjoy the 5-Spice Asian Street Market which just opened on the south side of Yamato accessed at the light on the corner of Yamato and Broken Sound Blvd. This is a counter order place which has outstanding food and which is generally busy with several tables of Asians enjoying the food. I view this as an excellent sign. They serve lumpia (Filipino egg rolls) which are delicious and mildly spicy, excellent pan-fried dumplings, a variety of noodle dishes which are enough for several people, a variety of soup meals, (Pho bowl is an example), and fabulous rotisserie chicken with a mild 5 spice flavor. This can be ordered with roast pork or by itself. They serve a variety of teas (fresh from a large canister and placed in a tea bag as you watch), Thai iced coffee and tea and regular coffee as well. The cost per person is about $10. It is not fancy (plastic cutlery and paper plates), but the food is knockout. Do not miss this delightful treat. They also have a large take out service and wonderful oriental sauces that can be hard to find (for those who eat home). A very busy lunch place and open for dinner.
