5-SPICE ASIAN STREET MARKET
"Real dining happens on the Street"

Fresh, festive and fair-priced: A new concept in dining brings the streets of Asia right into the heart of Boca.

Boca Raton, Fla − January 2, 2006 − Imagine eating on the street. Fresh food diced, sliced, spiced and cooked right in front of you. Quick. No hassle. Casual. Except you’re not really on the streets. You’re at 5-Spice Asian Street Market, the new dining place where east meets west and is now open in the Shoppes of Blue Lake.

5-Spice is not your average Asian Restaurant. The soul of the establishment is found in the re-creation of the street eats of the Far East.

"My inspiration comes from the comfort foods that are served by vendors in the streets throughout Asia" said Principal owner, Sam Hua. "Growing up in Asia, street foods are what the locals eat everyday. They are freshly-prepared by vendors that usually have only one specialty item. The flavors are phenomenal, the atmosphere is casual and the price is affordable," Hua added.

That’s what 5-Spice Asian Street Market is all about - to bring to America culinary treasures from different regions of Asia with uncompromising authenticity and quality, in a warm and inviting atmosphere, capturing the essence of the street markets of the Far East. The diner will experience street foods from various countries such as China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Philippines and Vietnam.

Mr. Hua referred to this new restaurant as a quick-casual concept. The guest travels from stall to stall making their selections. There is a wide array of starters such as made-to-order Vietnamese Summer Rolls with choice of 5-Spice grilled chicken, caramelized grilled pork or lemongrass grilled shrimp, or Chinese Roasted Pork Bun (slices of honey-glazed roasted pork, caramelized onions and a secret sauce sandwiched inside a steamed wheat roll). Other items such as Vegetarian Curry Samosas with tamarind ginger chutney or Filipino Spring Rolls known as lumpias with sweet chili dipping sauce are guaranteed to excite taste buds.

For the uninitiated, try the Cantonese Siu Mai or Mandarin Potstickers, both served with soy ginger dipping sauce. There are four choices of entrée salads including the signature 5-Spice Lettuce Wraps, not the usual found in your average Asian joint. Main entrees center around renowned Chinese Flame-Roasted Chicken and Pork served with choice of rice and regional Asian side dishes.

5-Spice also offers a "create-your-own" noodle plate (where you pick your choice of protein and noodle style), and four noodle soup bowls, including the famous Pho Bo, a Vietnamese beef noodle soup, a scrumptious challenge for the more adventurous.

An Asian meal would not be complete without fine hot tea, and 5-Spice does not take this matter lightly. Only the best handcrafted, artisanal quality loose-leaf teas are offered here. If this is not your "cup of tea", 5-Spice offers Vietnamese Iced Coffee, a powerful brew of dark French roast and Chicory blend sweetened with condensed milk and served on ice. Also known for boosting productivity.

Steven Elinson, the restaurant's General Manager stated, "This new restaurant is going to revolutionize the dining scene in South Florida. It will allow our customers to sample quality authentic street foods from different Asian countries under one roof. Not only do we make everything from scratch, the fresh ingredients of the cuisines make for healthy food."
